TrustPort compatibility with January 2018 Windows security update
January 23, 2018
TrustPort software is compatible with the Microsoft Security updates released on 3-rd January 2018.
This MicroSoft security update is connected with a kernel memory leak issues and prevents it from being installed if a specific registry key - ALLOW REGKEY detailed in KB4056892 – is not implemented by antivirus program or user manually.
TrustPort Antivirus implements required registry key since version 17.0.3.7038 released on 8-th January, 2018 and in patch distributed automatically to all individual users. This upgrade will automatically apply and will not require any user interaction. As soon as TrustPort product updates are released, Windows updates should continue to be used as usual.
