TrustPort awarded with a Virus Bulletin Award

TrustPort managed to gain yet another Virus Bulletin award from the prestigious magazine Virus Bulletin for its security solution TrustPort Antivirus. October tests focused on the Microsoft Windows Server 2008, and twenty four antivirus manufacturers participated.

The antivirus products were tested on four different groups of malicious codes, whilst the main emphasis was placed on in-the-wild viruses. Other groups included worms, polymorphic viruses, and trojans. TrustPort Antivirus revealed 100% in-the-wild viruses, both in the resident shield and also in the on demand test. Great result was also achieved in the detection of worms (100%). Second best result was achieved amongst strong competition in recognition of trojans (96.96% resident shield, 97.43% on demand test).

Virus Bulletin for almost twenty years now represents an independent source of expert information in the area of computer viruses. It annually hosts a conference for antivirus experts from around the world. Virus Bulletin also regularly carries out comparative tests of antivirus programs, and awards the best ones with a VB100 title. Only the products that unveil 100% in-the-wild and receive no false positives are granted the prestigious VB100 award.
