About Us

"An antivirus program must be both comprehensive and simple at the same time. It must be clear and understandable; it should not be the master and decide what is best for me. Ideal software ergonomics are much closer with TrustPort Antivirus 2009."

TrustPort Antivirus received the highest possible award the AV-Comparative Advanced + rating, and therefore ranked amongst the top antivirus products in the August AV-Comparative tests.

The tests related to the ability of the antivirus program to scan at the request of users. Sixteen well-known global antivirus manufacturers took part. Testing included detection of different kinds of malicious codes, classic viruses, macro viruses, script malware, worms, backdoors, trojans and others.

The first part of the test contained only virus samples from the past year. TrustPort Antivirus demonstrated excellent results particular in the detection of classic viruses, where it was able to detect (99.3%) of samples, and further detecting (98.5%) of backdoors, (97.8%) of worms and (97.2%) of trojans. With the overall ratio of malicious codes detected (97.2%), TrustPort Antivirus placed amongst the five most successful products.

TrustPort Antivirus occupied an impressive fourth spot (97.3%) when looking at the general results from backdoor detection, trojans and other malware. If we also classify the results from the second part of the test, where virus samples more than one year old and less than three years were used, TrustPort Antivirus was able to detect an amazing (98.7%) of malicious codes, which ranked the product amongst the top five winning manufactures.

Comparative antivirus project called AV-Comparatives has been running for more than four years, each year the framework includes four major tests, two which focus on conventional scanning at the request of users, and two which focus on the ability to detect previously unknown malicious codes. Participating products may receive one of the three awards (ranked from lowest to highest); Standard, Advanced and Advanced +. More information about the project and all the results of all existing tests can be found at: www.av-comparatives.org.
