TrustPort PC Security 2009 official release
TrustPort announces the release of the official version of TrustPort PC Security 2009 and TrustPort Antivirus 2009.
They will enter the sales network at the beginning of November, and will be available as previous versions in 1, 3 and 5 packs, or as licenses for a large number of work stations in the network.
TrustPort PC Security is a comprehensive solution, providing complete protection of your computer and data against risks coming especially from the Internet. Antivirus and antispam protect against harmful codes such as viruses and spyware, and blocks spam; personal firewall oversees all communication between the computer and the Internet. The solution offers on-demand scanning, examination of files during their opening, and monitoring of online data downloaded from the Internet.
TrustPort PC Security is made up of modules which include reliable data encryption, the use of electronic signatures, and irreversible deletion of sensitive data. The new TrustPort PC Security 2009 covers a wide range of new features that enhance data safety and comfort for the user. The software has an elegant graphical user interface with elegant new icons. The default appearance may at any time be replaced with hundreds of other skins which can be downloaded from the Internet for free.
An important innovation is a feature called Parental Lock, allowing the blocking of Internet sites which contain content inappropriate for children. This can include sites openly showing violence or promoting drug use. Inappropriate Web sites are defined by the manufacturer and the user chooses which categories they wish to block.
It is now easier to monitor incoming and outgoing Internet communication through an interactive interface personal firewall. This is activated in the event of an unknown connection and offers the user the option to prohibit the connection, to allow it, or to create a permanent rule. Users working on multiple computers will welcome the possibility of creating a mobile version of the antivirus for USB’s. Another new feature is the rescue boot disk which the user can previously create and then use to recover an infected computer.
Major innovations also include a dual user interface, including advanced and beginner modes, antiphishing module and the automatic scanning of removable media. Most of those developments such as the Parental Lock, new design, mobile antivirus or the dual interface, are also available with the compact product TrustPort Antivirus 2009. This product is aimed at users who require a reliable antivirus, antispam and antispyware protection, but not the other security modules that come with TrustPort PC Security.
