TrustPort sets up a blog about security
TrustPort, a leading provider of security software, announced the launch of the new TrustPort Security Blog today. The purpose of the website is to provide readers with an insider view of the latest trends, of threat detection developments, and of risk analysis issues. It is also intended on providing advice to users how to stay safe online. The blog will stay updated thanks to multiple authors from the ranks of TrustPort employees.
“As we are constantly discovering and developing new ways for you to stay safe online, my team and I would like to share with you our knowledge and findings through this blog,” writes Vladislav Nemec, Chief Executive Officer at TrustPort, in his initial blog post. He goes on to explain the confidence of the company to write with authority about security on the Internet. “Despite our youthful looks, most of us are veterans in the security software industry. We have a great passion about what we do,” adds Nemec.
An important goal of the website is pointing out current computer threats and dangerous online behaviour. “We would like to help people use online services with confidence, which would be based on knowledge, not on ignorance,” comments Jakub Truschka, Marketing Specialist at TrustPort. “It is easy to feel secure, when you know nothing about the dangers, until you hit the wall.” In an increasingly connected world, lack of protection may of course lead to fatal consequences.
Last year saw TrustPort making significant steps in the development of security software, gaining third party awards and certifications. Recently, AV-Comparatives independent lab tested twenty antivirus products and their capability to detect potentially unwanted applications. TrustPort Antivirus identified 99.5% of samples in the test, gaining a notional bronze medal.
Of course, the award winning products of TrustPort will not be the main topic of the new TrustPort Security Blog. The website will bring fresh insights into issues such as privacy protection, phishing threats, children protection, online banking, and so on. The objective is to be both informative and entertaining. In addition to that, readers are encouraged to discuss their views on security issues, threats, and solutions.
