Installation and uninstallation

Page: Installation of e-mail clients

TrustPort Antivirus integrates itself into e-mail clients and therefore enables the scanning of incoming and outgoing e-mails for viruses and spam. Supported clients include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express, Windows Mail and Mozilla Thunderbird. Integration to the default e-mail client is chosen automatically.

Integration of TrustPort Antivirus to more e-mail clients is possibble by clicking on the button next to the name of the required client (their number is not limited). If some e-mail client is not supported by the operating system, then it is not possible to choose this client from the list and support for this client will not be installed. If some e-mail client is supported by the operating system, but isn't installed on the computer in the installation time or its current version is not supported, then it is not possible to choose this client from the list, but support for this client will be installed.

List of supported clients and their versions:

  • Outlook Express... version 6
  • Windows Mail... version 6
  • Thunderbird... version 1.5.x and 2.0.x
  • Microsoft Outlook... version 2000-2007

If later a change occurs with the default e-mail client which was not selected on this page during the installation, then it is possible to simply deregister TrustPort Antivirus to this client directly in the user interface. By analogy one needs to proceed when inegrating TrustPort Antivirus to an additional e-mail client if during installation it was not selected on this page.
