Mount a Disk Protection image

TrustPort Disk Protection Mount Image is an application which affords you to mount an image very quickly and easily. It expects that you have already created an image file. Use the Create a new Disk Protection image wizard. Mount Image application can be started from the shell context menu by a right click on an image file and selecting 'Mount' option, from Disk Protection Quick Launch or manually. Mount Image allows you to mount an image from various places on your harddrive, CD-ROM, USB flashdisk, etc. Mounting images located on the network is also allowed.

If you run Mount image manually or from Quick Launch , you must select an image to open. Then you have to enter the user name and password valid for the image. This application automatically pre-fills user name of currently logged on user account.

When you click OK button, Disk Protection mounts this image. If this operation finishes successfully, a new disk will appear in the Windows. If something is wrong, Disk Protection will display an error message and you can check the parameters .

The number of available disk letters is limited to 26 (A-Z). If there is no available letter in the system for mounting an image, mounting operation will fail.

The image that is going to be mounted mustn't be compressed or encrypted by the NTFS file system. If Disk Protection detects that the mounting image is compressed then decompresses it automatically. If the image file is encrypted by the EFS then Disk Protection displays a warning message and mounting procedure is cancelled. In this case you have to decrypt it manually.
